Erika TP #1
My
first tutoring session went really well. I was a little nervous at first, but I
was able to answer her questions competently. There was only one question that
I wanted to look up. She had a couple of examples but still wasn’t sure of how
to apply the grammar rule. I knew how to apply it, but I looked it up to make
sure I didn’t give her wrong information. Her next question was about writing
research papers. She was unsure about how to the format the paper and what
exactly the thesis was. I explained it to her and told her the next time we
meet I will have an example paper and point out each part she had questions
with previously.

Erika, you're doing great! Try to approach in the way that you and your tutee are learning together. Answering her questions, you'll also learn what the difficulties ESL students face. Keep up the good work! =)
