Matthew TP #5

I met Yosuka for our second meeting on Thursday, before class. As we had discussed before, Yosuka was concerned about taking the TOEFL so I brought a bunch of TOEFL practice that we started to go over. She had said that she felt weakest doing the Speaking section, so that day we concentrated on the first two questions of the speaking section where they ask you a question, give you 15 seconds to prepare and then you have 45 seconds to talk. We did 5 or 6 example questions after I discussed some strategies she could use. I also took notes when she was speaking so I could correct any grammars errors she made. She had also been concerned about vocabulary, so I compiled a list of 14 words that are commonly used in an academic setting for her to study that I would quiz her on the next time we met.
