I am his conversation parter, but we study grammar all the time. That day, I checked his homework(I gave him a grammar book so that he can study some grammar by himself and ask me questions) and we studied verb tenses, especially past and present perfect. I gave him examples so that he could make his own sentences. I also drew a line for him. I love these lines because they make it easy to understand the verb tenses! He liked the verb tenses lines a lot. Hope he remembers all of these:-)
This is a really cool way to explain grammar! Simple and easy to remember; I always remembered my Japanese conjugating and verb charts :D
