Since
my former tutee went back to Kuwait, I was on a search for a new tutee. Given the circumstances that the Center of
Intensive English Studies was nearing its last days of classes also caused
tremendous amounts of pressure. I
finally found a tutee through my new Brazilian conversation partner and met up
with him at the union on campus.
My
new tutee was from Brazil and in our first meeting, we did not discuss a lot of
grammar, but we got to know one another first.
I he told me that he was staying here in Tallahassee as a
travelling/temporary researcher at FSU’s Chemistry lab. He told me that he got a grant from Brazil
and that he will be staying for about a months time and his goal was to learn
as much English as he could possibly learn and to take with him the experiences
and knowledge he gained while researching at FSU.
My
CP, TP and I all had lunch at the Union and we were all very hungry at the time
so we quickly ate our meals. My TP then
asked me what I was majoring in and we further discussed about academics and
what not. We all talked about body
building and working out because we all had that similarity and the we ate our
lunches. After the meal my new TP and I
scheduled our next meeting.
